Dr. Javier Fuentes, DVM, MBA, MSc, PhD
Dr. Javier M. Fuentes, a Colombian veterinarian with a DVM from La Salle University, has over 30 years of experience. After an internship in the Colombian Amazon, he earned an MBA, co-founded a veterinary hospital with his wife, and later earned a PhD in Parasitology. Specializing in veterinary dentistry and exotic animal medicine, Dr. Fuentes founded Veterinary Dental Services in 2022. He now lives in South Florida with his family and pets, where he enjoys volunteering and practicing wildlife medicine.

My dog fractured her tooth requiring root canal and crown. Dr Fuentes and staff were able to get me an appointment the next day. He provided options for treatment - expressing that once X-rays were complete he would know if tooth could be saved or not. Thankfully it could. The techs were kind and Molly was treated with great care. I was called as soon as she came out of anesthesia and then again when I could pick her up.

Dr. Fuentes and his staff are simply outstanding. The care they provided to my fuzzie "Latte" was great. They stayed over an hour later than their posted business hours to make sure my girl was good to go. I got constant updates throughout the day on her progress, and had follow-up today to ensure she was ok. Although I am over a hour away, I will be back her for my others for any dental needs.

Dr Fuentes and the Team at Veterinary Dental Services are a compassionate, very talented, and knowledgeable team! My 16 year old kitty was having a lot of trouble eating and was losing weight over the last year and I thought we were near the end.
